To provide goods or services, we need to produce or deliver them.
This is not a bad idea because it’s easy to understand. We’re simply using words to signify the two fundamental processes of production and delivery. In this case, we’re referring to the two processes of production (producing goods or services) and delivery (delivering those goods or services).
The word ‘delivery’ sounds a lot like a lot of things. Its a little like the term ‘cargo’ which says that something is sent to you. That is, you send it to a place where you need to deliver it.
In the old days, there were many different forms of transportation. Now, its one word. Now, its a small word and a lot of people use it. But, its still very useful. Because the delivery process is a lot like the production process. You need a delivery agent to get your goods or services from one place to another, which is the production process.
The very word “agent” seems to make it sound like something that a person is, but really it is a method of communication or some sort of intermediary. So, being an agent is like being a middleman between two parties. The delivery agents are the middleman between the two parties.
But, in the case of delivering goods or services, the delivery agent and the customer are on two different sides of a very important transaction. The delivery agents are the middleman between the customer and the supplier. The customers need to meet the delivery agent to be able to get their goods or services and the delivery agent needs to meet a customer to be able to deliver the product.
Most goods or services are delivered by a service provider who is not directly employed by either party. This is a common situation because, in most cases, the service provider has a direct relationship with the service provider’s customer. So the customer has to meet the delivery agent in order to get their goods or service.
This is where the question “what does it mean to be a service provider?” comes into play. For a service provider to be employed by a customer, that service provider must be an employee of the customer. In other words, you have a service provider who is an employee of the customer. As such, the customer must meet the delivery agent.
The customer does exactly what they think they’re supposed to do because they’re an employee of the service provider. You don’t want to be a service provider and you don’t want to be an employee.
