It is important to be aware of the full truth of our actions and intentions if we are going to be self-aware. For example, when we commit a theft, it is important to be fully aware of what we did to cause the loss and to be fully aware of our intentions to get it back. When we run and hide, we are not fully aware of what we are doing at that moment, but it is important to be aware of it.
The truth is that people can have a tendency to lie. Some people are more prone to it than others. The truth is that we can’t always tell the truth about ourselves. We can’t always get to the bottom of exactly what we are doing or why we are doing it. The truth is that we have no idea what we’ve done to cause the things that we are aware of and the things we are aware of.
When we hide, we are not fully aware of what we are doing at that moment. If we were fully aware, we would have caught on.
This is true for both lying and telling the truth. People who want to appear sincere have more trouble telling the truth when they are hiding. But people who tell the truth are more likely to be caught and punished for telling the truth.
This is true of our own behavior as well. We can hide for a long time, but if we look back, we know we have been lying all along.
This principle has been known since ancient Greek times and is based on the idea that the more we are aware of what we are doing, the easier it will be to change our behavior. Of course, if we are fully aware, then we can lie to ourselves about it and just continue our way.
Even if we’re not completely aware of what we’re doing, there are ways to be extremely careful about it. We can lie about what we’re doing and then try to be very careful about where we are going. But we’re not fully aware of how much we’re doing. If we don’t know what we’re doing, then we’re not even aware of our actions. This is a huge mistake.
We are often guilty of this. For example, many of us are unaware of how much were doing when we smoke or drink or eat. We are not always aware of how much we are drinking or eating or smoking, or drinking, eating or smoking. If we want to avoid getting into trouble, we can usually just avoid doing anything that is going to cause trouble. But there are times when even trying to avoid trouble is not enough, so we need to be very careful.
As we learned with the two previous posts, there are two types of self-awareness: the “actual” kind where we can get away with some of our behaviors and still keep ourselves from doing anything that might be wrong, and “meta” awareness about our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions. Meta-awareness means that we don’t completely control our behaviors and reactions for whatever reason.
