I’ve heard a lot about journal entries in the past couple of weeks and I’ve discovered that I’m a little bit more organized. I’m still not quite at the point where I’m going to be able to make this my full-time job, but I’m working on it.
Now that its official, Im going to be using the new Quickbooks for everything. Its a small but necessary change for me as I go through my life with a little more ease. It also makes it much faster for me to do all my filing.
Quickbooks is a very useful and easy way to manage your tasks and documents. It also lets you easily create simple reports based on your tasks that you can then use on your own tasks. I personally like it because its very simple and quick. Using this service is definitely one of the more important decisions you will make in the next 24 hours, so I hope you like it.
The last time I was in Quickbooks, I had about a million tasks to do, and it took me several hours to find the filing section. However, I’m not sure how the new journal entry feature will be any better. I like the idea of creating easy-to-follow reports, but if the data is being displayed in a table or list, the task-list-like format could be quite unreadable.
The new QuickBooks service works much in the same way as the old Quickbooks. Rather than creating a standard report that you can copy and paste into another program, QuickBooks now supports using the web interface to create and edit these reports. This means you can create a task list, a task, and then edit the data on the task list by clicking on the task. I find the new interface very intuitive, and I can see why it was so popular.
I’ve been using a simple task list for years now. Although there’s no fancy new task builder, I can’t imagine using a spreadsheet program that doesn’t have at least some sort of a “task list” like this.
The only thing that is missing from the new task list is a column for the date the task was created. I am really hoping that the new task list allows you to edit a task at a later date, but thats a long way off from me actually buying a new QuickBooks license.
The new task list is pretty self-explanatory, and makes it easy to keep track of things that are urgent when you need to. You can also create tasks from your email address or phone number, so you don’t have to type up all the details over and over. It also has some pretty cool filters and a very simple editor that lets you type your task name, and then click “View details” to see all the details.
You can also set up a task to automatically send a reminder to yourself when your task is due, which is pretty handy. I could make a very simple spreadsheet to do this, but hey, its a nice little feature.
If you want to avoid wasting time on the keyboard and have no other option then the keyboard is important. I think, for example, you can set up a keyboard shortcut to add a new page, and then click on it to add it to your list.
