The word funnel might sound complicated, but it actually means a series of steps to move something from one place to another. When you look at it this way, it’s so simple. To be a successful entrepreneur or small business owner, you have to be a funnel.

The funnel concept I was referring to, as I stated, is pretty familiar to the tech startup world. The big difference is that the people you need to funnel are not in a startup, but rather in a mature business. For example, in the software world, I dont think developers are funneling new business but rather the product manager is, it’s basically a function of the type of business you are.
In a mature business, the business people know their company a little bit better, and the product guys know how to do their job and how the business works. Hence the funnel concept.
