I’m going to try to keep this brief by stating that I do not believe data is everything. It is not what you think it is, it is not the most important thing you need to know, and it is not the most interesting thing to know.
In real life, you can never know what you’re talking about.
Data is important, but not everything. There are many things that data provides that you can’t see with your eyes. For instance, we can use data to find the average speed of a car, or find the average weight of a person, or find a way to predict the future of a political movement. But data isn’t all that important when you consider what you will be doing with the information you gained from it.
Like any other skill or business, data can be useful when you are doing a good job. A business is a business, but data can be used to make better business decisions, which is a whole other matter.
I would recommend using the data agnostic approach. For instance, if you need to find a time-frame for the week before the date you want to enter it, you can do that by doing a little bit of reading from your computer or a database. Maybe a few days is enough time for you to read about a specific time in your past.
The data agnostic approach lets you do a little bit more business-wise before you enter the data, but it’s a bit too much work for that kind of data. If you’re a complete noob, I don’t recommend the data agnostic approach.
Data agnostic is another way of saying: don’t do too much. There are times when you need to gather the information you need from a database, but there are also times when you need to gather the information you need from a spreadsheet. As an example, I need to know how many people in my area will be at an event a certain date but I dont want to be the one to fill out a spreadsheet.
Data agnostic is an approach similar to the “I don’t need to know I have an email address, I just need to click on a link and get mail” approach. For example, I might be at a wedding and want to know how many people attended or how many people came? In this case you would use a spreadsheet, but the basic idea isnt to collect the information you need from a spreadsheet. You need to gather that information from a database.
What I like about data agnostic is that it lets you gather just enough information to do the job without having to figure out how to use it. It also lets you use it in any situation where you need information and not have to worry about whether or not you will be able to find it.
There are many other things that data agnostic does. But these are just a few of the things that data agnostic does. It really makes you feel like you are really close to your computer and have a good idea how to use it.
