The fact of the matter is that we have so few suppliers that we tend to rely on them because we know we can trust them. There is no reason we can’t trust them after all they’ve done for us, right? Actually, there are several reasons why we may have to rely on them. First of all, it’s a lot cheaper to buy from someone else. Second, it’s safer.
The other reason we may have to do this is because a lot of suppliers don’t mind helping us, they just think they have a better deal. We don’t want to take a chance that a supplier could go out of business but the chance of that happening is much greater than it would be with a small group of suppliers.
I used to buy from a lot of suppliers regularly. Recently though, I’ve been ordering at least two new games from Steam with the same supplier. I don’t know if it’s because its cheaper to buy from them or if Steam actually has better deals. Of course, if its that, then I feel we should just do it, because if they go out of business, we’ve just lost, and we don’t want that.
This is an interesting idea, and it’s not actually an issue of cost, it’s an issue of supply and demand. Ive seen a couple of games come out from a big company that had no single-source distributors until they hit a certain price point. Thats why you see so many first-person-shooter games come out at that point.
It’s easier to get into a game if you have a small number of vendors. I’ve seen it happen a few times, with a small publisher, and I’ve seen it happen with big companies, too. Usually when the big company is out of business, the small publisher is left with a big headache.
I think that having a small number of vendors can also make your game stand out from most other games by giving you more control over your marketing. In other words, the more vendors you have in your game, the more you can control your marketing. However, it doesn’t mean you need to have all of your suppliers in one spot. Some of them are easier to manage while others are probably more difficult to get into.
A good example is Steam. It’s great for gamers looking for a good shopping experience, but it’s a pain to manage. This is why it’s often hard to find a good Steam store, as well as why some games are only available through Steam.
The issue with Steam is that when you have many different platforms to choose from, it can be hard to keep track of what games are available while also keeping them updated. By having a few specific platforms to choose from, you can have a much easier time of keeping track of what is out there and what you can download.
I’ve seen the games that are not available through Steam, such as the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and the Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but this is because Steam is not a full-on platform. The reason Steam is not a full-on platform is because of its lack of compatibility.
