The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
We’re already doing that though. As it turns out, the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. As in, “I have to drive to work.”. This is true whether it’s getting off the couch and taking a walk to work or, as in this case, driving to work in an overloaded car that’s on its last legs.
In reality, most of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. We’re not really thinking about anything much. We’re just making the decisions we’re making and then the ones we’re not doing. We have the opposite problem in life. We don’t have to think about anything at all.
Autopilot? Where are you? I bet you’re driving to work. And yet, all you have to do is keep your eyes on the road and your fingers on the wheel. That’s my autopilot. But the good news is that you don’t have to stop at work. Instead, you can simply focus your full attention on what the day holds.
Focusing on what the day holds is the opposite of autopilot. Autopilot is the thought process you use to make your way to work. Focusing on what should be your day is the day itself. In other words, the day itself is the autopilot you use to get to work.
If you want a clearer picture of what autopilot is, look no further than the auto-updating of Google’s Google Calendar. It’s the thought process you use to see what the day holds, which is an obvious example of focus.
When it comes to “getting to work”, your thoughts are a lot smarter than your actions. Most people have a tendency to let go of their thoughts and actions when they’re not in the mood for their day and just let things happen. But that is not the way to get things done. You have to put a lot of thought into what you want to do. You have to make a ton of decisions about what to do.
It turns out Google calendars is more about the thought process than the actual calendar itself. Google is looking at your past calendar entries, and they are looking for things that were not done in the past. All of the focus on Google Calendar makes it feel like a lot of people have forgotten about the thought process, and what they are doing is more about how to fit in and feel comfortable, and how to be productive.
Google calendar, in addition to being a way to track appointments, is also a way to keep track of things like “what I said last week”, and “what I said in the past two weeks”. When someone is making a calendar entry, they don’t really think about it as an actual calendar entry. They use an entry “in the past two weeks” and that’s what Google sees.
I think this is why I have such a soft spot for Google Calendar. It is so easy to make a calendar entry, and then it is so easy to see everything that was said in the past two weeks. I also think this is why I really like having my Google calendar.
