I’ve been using them for years, but the cost is not a factor to me.
Ive been using the same thing, a process cost system (PCS) for a long time now. What is a huge difference is the fact that my PCS includes a “time-slider” feature that allows me to control the cost of each process.
I don’t know why the cost of a process is not a factor, other than that it’s not really something that’s easily adjustable. I have three PCs and one PCS. My PCS is about $50, but I have an adjustable cost slider for each process. I would much rather have that than a fixed cost system.
I just wanted to point out that if you don’t like the time-slider feature on your PCS, you can change the cost of a process without changing the amount of time required to complete it.
A system that controls the cost of a process for all of your PC’s would save a lot of time and money.
The reason for this is that the PCS is a multi-process server that handles a lot of different tasks. And a lot of these tasks are performed by different types of computers. If you have a costable PCS and a multi-process server (such as the one we have) that also handles a lot of different tasks, it would be a lot easier to set up.
