We don’t have to be aware of the thoughts and impulses that propel our lives to be aware of how we carry them through every moment. We just have to be aware of our habitual responses to them. We can use this same approach to our thoughts and actions. We can stop and we can breathe.
The way that we are carried through our days and our lives is by our habits. Our habits can be broken by going for a walk, eating a meal, taking a shower, or even just coming to a stop and thinking about whatever we’re doing. The more we take time to think about the things that matter, the more we become aware of our habitual responses, and the more we can be aware of the things that matter.
We can learn to notice our habitual responses, routines, impulses, and reactions and to stop in our tracks and think about what matters. Think about our actions and the people we impact. Then we can start to notice that while we’re doing the things that matter, our thoughts are often focused on other things. We might be thinking that our job or our financial situation is more important than the things that really matter. We might be thinking that our friends are more important than our family.
We might be thinking about how we’ll feel in the future, but when we stop and focus on our present, we might be able to choose what to focus on. We might be thinking about the future, but when we’re trying to fix the problems that are in front of us right this minute, we might forget to think about the future.
So, to give us some perspective, we’re at a point in life where we have so many things that are so important that we don’t think about them at all. We have to prioritize and we have to prioritize our time. This is why it’s so important that we work on ourselves, we have to prioritize ourselves, and we have to prioritize our work.
If you have to work on yourself to get through your day, then you need to prioritize that work. Then you have to prioritize your time. The sooner you prioritize each of these, the better. Think about this: you want to be good at something, but you don’t put in the work to become good at that thing. The best way to become good at something is to be good at something.
The problem comes when you don’t do the work. There are two kinds of people who don’t prioritize their work. The first kind of person does their best work, but their best work comes off as lazy, and the second kind of person does their best work, but their best work comes off as lazy. The first kind of person gets better at their work, and the second kind of person gets worse at their work.
It’s like a dog that always sits on a chair. The dog sits on the chair because he’s lazy, and the dog sits on the chair because he’s lazy. But how the dog sits on the chair, is the dog’s choice. Now, the dog can’t walk on the table. He can only lay on the floor.
This is what happens when a person starts doing their best work, but then they don’t do it enough.
At least with this kind of programming you can look back and see that you actually did something. But I know you all have some type of pride that you are the first people to do something. I dont know if it is possible to get a sense of what this person actually thinks and feels about their work, but I know I would just laugh at that.
