Talent management is a fancy term for how to handle and manage the talent you have available to you. You don’t have to know about talent management as much as you might think, but it is a very important aspect of career development and success.
In a talent management program, you have the opportunity to study various aspects of how to handle talent. For example, you learn how to make decisions about the direction of the talent you have to work with. You learn how to manage the talent by the talent. You learn how to make sure you dont fall into the “dumb assistant” syndrome. You learn how to make sure you work with the right people and have the right skills.
In this video, we look at a modeler’s job and how she handles herself when she doesnt have the right talent or the right skill set for the job. The modeler is extremely proud because she has been able to develop a solid career as a pro modeler.
Modeling is a highly specialized field and the skill set required to be a good modeler is very specialized. It is rare to have a pro modeler who can do everything on the modeler’s list, and the skill set needed for it. The modeler is not necessarily a modeler who is good at everything. She might know how to do certain things in the art department, but she might not handle many things in the modeling department.
