If your product is just a piece of software with a bunch of features, then you won’t be able to focus on this one product because it’s not the biggest thing. As a product manager, I have realized that I don’t really care about the features or the quality of the product. I’m more focused on the features and the quality, but I am not as concerned about the features.
So when you are talking about “best practices” for your product, you should look at your own internal list and make sure it is well ordered. Also, you should create a document that tells your product manager what you want your product to do. This will help your product manager focus on a single task and get a good estimate of how long it will take.
I have a list of features that I think I’m doing well on. It has a long list of features that I am excited to use, and a short list of features that I am considering to use in the future. Most of the features on this list are really a matter of personal preference. Some of them are so common that I will use them anyway, but I have a few that are really just a matter of personal taste.
